Daily cleaning

Taking care of your granite countertop is easy. In fact, you probably already know how to do it. But here are the basics:
Step 1: Blot up spills as soon as you can before they penetrate the surface.
Step 2: Clean your top with a few drops of neutral cleaner, mild dishwashing liquid and warm water, or stone soap (available in hardware stores or home improvement centers).
Step 3: Use a soft, clean cloth to wipe up the cleaner and then rinse.

That's it! Easy. Here are a few things you shouldn't do.
Don't use products that contain lemon, vinegar, or other acids, especially on marble or limestone.
Don't use abrasive cleaners (that includes "soft" cleansers) or strong detergents that can dull polished stone surfaces.
Don't mix cleaning products such as ammonia and bleach; the result is toxic.
